Joan Parsons Ziady, Founder

Joan is an accomplished attorney and Founder of Winslow Workplace Advisors. Her extensive knowledge, client-service mindset, and passion for professional and personal development make her a highly trusted advisor. Her effective communication style and positive energy inspire confidence. 
As a long-standing equity partner and diversity partner at a national law firm, Joan developed unique insight into the dynamics of inclusiveness, engagement, and advancement in the workplace. Her understanding of the critical importance of continual feedback and communication grew out of her tenure on the firm’s performance review committee and her leadership roles in a variety of diversity, mentoring, and well-being initiatives. 
Leveraging her signature strengths and skills, Joan left private practice to launch Winslow Workplace Advisors where she delivers strategic guidance on mentoring and well-being initiatives, as well as developing and retaining talent in an inclusive work culture. 
Joan is a former president, mentor program coordinator, and board member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Boston, New England’s leading professional organization for women in the commercial real estate industry.
Joan presents and participates on panels at industry events including the Move The Needle 1L Pipeline Collective Orientation Program, the CREW Boston Legacy Council Panel, the MIT Real Estate Symposium, and the Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers Mentoring and Wellbeing in the Law Panel. Her speaking engagements also include podcasts such as The Joyful Practice for Women Lawyers with Paula Price and Sidebar with Judge Dan Winslow, as well as The ESG Show on LinkedIn.
Joan has been recognized by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as one of its Top Women in Law and by Banker & Tradesman as one of its Women of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate (FIRE). She was selected for CREW Boston’s Leadership Award recognizing leaders who have worked to advance women in the Greater Boston real estate community.
Joan holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School. Her B.A., summa cum laude, is from Tufts University. Her certifications include the Transformational DEI Certificate issued by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and the Adult Mental Health First Aid USA Certificate from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
Joan is the mother of four grown children. She resides in the Boston area with her husband and Australian Shepherd.
